Abortion Bob supports the right of choice for abortion. Libertarians are for the promotion of maximum freedom for each person. Also each person should be held responsible for their actions under a rule of law. This is guaranteed by the Constitution. However, I am a Christian and I personally believe that abortion is wrong. Family planning, adoption and community help is the best way to handle unwanted pregnancy. Please consider, as I do, abortion is not a federal issue and no federal funds should be used for any abortion services or promotion. I, as president, will not approve any federal spending for abortions and I will veto any legislation to make abortion a federal issue or law. Abortion, as with a multitude of issues, is not granted as a power to the federal government by the Constitution. Therefore, this issue must be totally relegated to the States and the people as defined in the 10th amendment. • Tenth Amendment: provides that powers that the Constitution does not delegate to the United States and does not prohibit the states from exercising, are "reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." |
