The 2008 presidential election will be the first election since 1952 in which neither major party has an incumbent president or vice president attempting to get his or her party's nomination.
American voters have not elected a third party president since Abraham Lincoln when the then-minority Republican Party beat the Whigs and the Democrats in 1860 on the anti-slavery platform.
Washington is financially broke and administratively broken. A Democratic or Republican president will be married to half of the problem and avowed to fight the other half. Only a third party president can fix Washington.
